It's amazing!!!! The best concept in denim I have come across yet! I always said, if someone could make a denim that doesn't stretch out, I would die and go to heaven! And it's here! And I own 5 pair.......1 angel, 1 Lindsay, 2 Kate, 1 Melissa.....and more to come.

Their concept is a 4-way stretch that holds it's shape. Crossed promoted with the name brand Lycra, 1961 denim is fitted to the body (holds a sister in), great on the butt and STAYS THAT WAY!!!! No more dirty diaper, saggy rear end look at the end of the day!

Sounds kinda gross, but I don't clean my jeans very often, have always felt that cleaning broke down the fibers and ruined them eventually, if it didn't shrink them right away and let's face it, that never makes a girl feel good. I'm always secretly wondering if fresh out of the dryer jeans are really just too small on me rather than my excuse to my husband "they just came out of the dryer" as I am laying on the bed struggling to get into them wishing that he wouldn't think I was nuts if I asked for a pair of plyers to get the zipper closed. I never clean my jeans unless something has spilled on them or unless they have gotten too baggy in the tush and thigh area. So considering these will not stretch, this cuts your need to clean in half! Probably more.

They are the answer to my denim prayers, and I bet the answer to a lot of your denim issues. Tons of styles......straight, flare, high rise, slim boot, legging. All very simple denim, no bells and whistles. No holes, no frays, no studs......just good denim.

Just wanted to thank one of my clients, we will call her "A", who has become one of my very good friends. She left me a voicemail a few weeks ago thanking me and telling me that I have changed her life....that she now wakes up and has options of things to wear everyday and walks out of the house feeling great. I don't think she will ever know how much this means to me. I have saved the message and keep wanting to listen to it again! That is the absolute best aspect of my job. I wanna make people feel good in their own skin, or at least their outfits. Their is no better look than confidence and I like to feel like I am giving a little boost to my clients' egos by just setting up an easy and well rounded wardrobe!

Wow its been a while! Sorry for the disappearance! Ive felt very uninspired lately. And being a new blogger, I see how easy it is to fall off the wagon. But I'm back on! And today i will talk about my new obsession- legging jeans!!!!! Or jeggings- lol funny name. Anyway- the best invention ever!!!!!! Super stretchy super skinny jeans. So comfortable and so wearable. No fighting with your jeans to fit into boots anymore!!!!! What a relief! And the best thing about them- you can go about 2 sizes down in them. Not that I really actually feel better about myself if I wear a size 24 in jeans. Well.....maybe a little bit..hehe. Pretty much all of the brands are making them. But so far I am partial to Rich & Skinny. They come in black, blue and gray. They are priced so well! They are about $150 a pair. You can come by Jami Lyn to try a pair on. BEST MAKEUP EVER!

I have found it! Cle de Peau! I recently ran out of my Chanel concealer and went to Saks to replace it. I went up to the Chanel counter and told her that I needed another one, but that I wasn't 100% satisfied. I have circles under my eyes and I would definitely continue with my normal Chanel coverup if that was the best one, but I felt we could do better. The woman behind the counter said to me "I have the same situation, and I am not supposed to do this, but go over to that counter (she pointed) and talk to that guy". Well this savior of a makeup artist seriously gave me the best recommendation EVER! I sat down at the Cle de Peau counter and let the man do me up. He told me that this was Shiseido's higher line of cosmetics and that people love it blah blah blah. He is about to sell me a bill of goods....I just know it. Not prepared to spend an arm and a leg on makeup, I asked what this would all cost me. It wasn't cheap. $65 for a concealer stick. But something about the Chanel makeup artist recommending it got me. I decided to try it and even splurged on a $70 refillable eyebrow pencil. I seriously could not have been happier with my purchase! I have tried it all- mac, Paula Dorf, Chanel, cheapo brands. Stays on all day! And the brow pencil gives such definition to my eyebrows, I don't think I have skipped it for one day since I bought it. The Gardens of Great Margaritas!

Had dinner with one of my best friends, Michelle, last night. We went to The Gardens of Taxco , where I hadn't been in the longest time. We sat and chatted over a huge pitcher of mango margaritas, catching up about stuff we have missed in the last few months (so sad how lack of time draws friends apart). We had such a great time, eating chips, drinking and laughing. As I sat there telling her about my website and blog, she said "write about this, what a great place it is to go out with a girlfriend". And I was thinking that it really is such a great place. Sort of hidden on Harper, just north of Santa Monica, this authentic Mexican restaurant is such a gem! There are no menus for their 5 course meal. Your courses and choices are recited to you by the same man who was doing it 10 years ago, the first time I ate there. Then each table is serenaded in Spanish by a guitarist. This restaurant is just spilling with original charm. It is an absolute must!

I'M A SPLENDID GIRL

The creator of the tee-shirt brand Slendid stopped by the store today just to check it out and see his product in the marketplace. He recently sold the once only tee-shirt line to Vanity Fair for some $180 million, give or take a few, so don't quote me on it. I was thrilled to see he was a very un-affected man. He told me that he had mixed feelings about the sale. He was excited that the line could now grow quicker and bigger than he had ever imagined, but that it was his baby. There was a definite sense of sadness to the big change. He is, however, still staying on to run the company. It was nice to see that he was just stopping by to see one of his most loyal and long standing accounts. He seems very hands on and I definitely attribute the success of this line to this kind of dedicated work ethic. I told him it happens to be one of my absolute favorites and a huge hit with my customers. The cutest and softest tees, comfy dresses, pants and sweaters! I could seriously own it all. And now that I have put a face to the name behind the brand, I like it even more. Check out some of their styles here.

I'm just going to say that this is one of these styles that should be left ON the runway! I think its veeeeery rare that these pants are going to look good on anyone. They are a bad idea! Stay away!

SURPRISINGLY HEALTHY TREAT

Amaaazing smoothie at Urth Caffe! I got strawberry banana, but they also offered mango, pineapple, and a few others that you can mix or have as one flavor. Anyway...soooo good! And the most surprising part- NO DAIRY! No yogurt, ice-cream, or even milk. Just fresh fruit and ice! So good that my boyfriend, Teddy, stole it from me, no surprise though. I am a better orderer than he is and he always steals my food, but never listens to me on what to order. Back to the point, go to Urth and get yourself a smoothie. I am pretty sure you will be just as shocked as I am that it's not filled with yummy fat and dairy. I have been dreaming about it since yesterday!

To Wear Or Not to Wear....

That is the question we face every time a hot new trend is in full force. The idea of some of these fads seems like the most ridiculous thing ever. Women whom I work with on a daily basis are always saying to me, " I can't wear that "! These fashion crazes seem like they would be ADORABLE on anyone 18 years old with a total weight of 3 lbs. Lets take for example the latest and greatest BOYFRIEND JEAN.

Anyone is who is maybe the tinniest bit conservative or classic might be thinking....is this really me? Moms in particular are very hesitant to try something so out of the realm of their comfort zones, something so out there in general. They say to me, "I'm a mom, I cant wear torn jeans". No one wants to be "that woman". The one who everyone looks at, who is dressed so inappropriately. The one who clearly borrowed her outfit from her 15 year old daughter.

So what is this whole insanity about anyway??? What is attractive about baggy, farmer-looking, rolled up, torn jeans that literally look like you borrowed your boyfriends clothes after a night at his place??? So why do you keep thinking about them???? They haunt you on every billboard, on the covers of magazines, on every celebrity IT girl in your guilty pleasure tabloids. THEY'RE JUST SO DARN CUTE! But again that question...Can I wear them? Well....you probably can.

For starters, ever time we try something new, its just weird. We question our body type and ability to carry it off. Remember when "skinny jeans" were re-introduced? I was convinced (and I bet you were too) that my bottom heavier figure was not for this very 1980's trend. And now, where would we be without our 4 pair of skinny jeans??? NAKED! You just have to get used to it. Try them on, think about them. See how you feel. Come back to them. Still there's always that thought.....looks so cute on someone else, NOT ME!

Get rid of that thought. You can do it too. Its all in the WAY that you do it. There are degrees of trendy in my opinion. We, of course, don't want too be trying to hard. That would bring us back to feeling like "that woman" again. Your new boyfriend jeans don't have to have so many rips (or any at all actually). They don't have to be so over sized. Brands like Rich + Skinny and Anlo offer a more conservative alternative to the oh so popular original boyfriend Current Elliot. Second, pair them with something conservative and fitted. Maybe a fitted button down or a little feminine sweater set. Avoid too much material on the top. Lets leave that look to Mary-Kate and Ashley. Create an adult looking ensemble that you are confident in.

And lastly, never be afraid to leave some of these trends for someone else. Not all of them are going to work. Try it on, see if it works, if you are working too hard, call it quits. There's always the next one.

No longer a Blog Virgin!

This is all very exciting! My very first blog post! Some of you may be wondering why I have chosen a blog instead of just a run of the mill website. Welllll.....for starters, my very dear friend The Design Girl creates blogs. This has been an unknown territory for me, but it is apparently all the rage! And what better way to start a new venture than to do it very "in the now". So in creating this blog, I got to be very hands on, and watch my friend do wonders with design! It was incredible how talented she is (therefore pass the word along)! So we made a blog that acts as a website as well. Anyway, in sort of getting to know how blogging works, I felt that this was such a great fit! My services are 100% personalized and I believe my web page should be as well. I have researched many image consulting websites, and they all seemed incredibly stuffy, and corporate. I want to be viewed as nothing comparable to that. I want my services as well as my home base for my information to be friendly. My relationship with each of my clients is completely different from the next because each client is incredibly different. They all have different bodies, jobs, number of children, financial situations, and comfort levels. I want my work to feel like your girlfriend is coming over to help you get dressed or is going shopping with you. I want my clients to feel a comfortable bond with me. And so I felt this blog would be a great way to keep this site as interactive as my work. I figured a little hello from me might be nice every once in a while. Or a little blast about something everyone should know- the latest and greatest mascara I just found, or the best inexpensive massage in town. So with that being said, I am so excited to have my website-blog hybrid (as I like to call it) up and running! Please tune in (become a follower) and pass along my info!
