I'M A SPLENDID GIRL

The creator of the tee-shirt brand Slendid stopped by the store today just to check it out and see his product in the marketplace. He recently sold the once only tee-shirt line to Vanity Fair for some $180 million, give or take a few, so don't quote me on it. I was thrilled to see he was a very un-affected man. He told me that he had mixed feelings about the sale. He was excited that the line could now grow quicker and bigger than he had ever imagined, but that it was his baby. There was a definite sense of sadness to the big change. He is, however, still staying on to run the company. It was nice to see that he was just stopping by to see one of his most loyal and long standing accounts. He seems very hands on and I definitely attribute the success of this line to this kind of dedicated work ethic. I told him it happens to be one of my absolute favorites and a huge hit with my customers. The cutest and softest tees, comfy dresses, pants and sweaters! I could seriously own it all.
